A still for expeditions, but not only…
The Trekker was born from a request by two collaborators for a mini still that could be taken on expeditions to distill very small volumes of plants sampled in the field. This still therefore had to be small and light enough to carry in a backpack, robust enough to survive expeditions, usable with a small gas burner, and able to distill very small volumes of plants to, if possible, produce a small essential oil sample… 10 minutes later, on the corner of a table after a conference we attended together in Grasses, the Trekker was sketched on a paper towel…
Ultimately, after testing it in different conditions, as long as you are distilling around 1 kg of plants, the Trekker is just as at home on an expedition as it is in a kitchen.
The Trekker does not come standard with an essencier like the larger models in the range, but we can offer either a 100 mL essencier and a lab stand for an additional $110, or a 250 mL separatory funnel that can be hung from the end of the condenser (expedition mode) for an additional $55.
